Background

Sotos Kappas was born in Athens. His family heritage finds its roots in the Greeks of Smyrna, a city in Asia Minor which once had a rich Greek cultural and musical tradition.
At a very young age he formed a musical group "The Hellenic Trio" which it performed at Alsos of Pangrati, a suburb of Athens.
The young Sotos found his way to the United States through a work scholarship and attended school at Saint Bernard College in Alabama.
Additional schooling followed in New York City where he was employed by RKO Theatres, and in Los Angeles, by Fox West Coast and National General Theatres.
For several years Mr Kappas proudly presented the music and the poetry of his heritage to American audiences. In some of his presentations included "The Life of El Greco" "Guernica" "From the Soil of Greece" "Constantine & Arete" "Aris - The Life of Onassis" "A Party with Picasso" "Melina & Manos" and "Cafe of Dreams."
Assisted by his guitar, he has performed at various cafes, restaurants and hotels around the world for the past thirty years.
